I am a Russian born batik/silk painter, working with different techniques such as cold/hot batik, resist, and various media – silks, dyes, wax, and gutta. I use traditional batik methods as well as incorporating modern materials and methods in my work. I constantly experiment using the media and my imagination, which result in amazing outcomes. I love the graphic that batik gives and the freedom of action in the hot wax.
